Dora Mae Foos
Dora Mae FoosCrossDora Mae Foos, 88, of Richwood, died Sunday evening, March 2, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Union County.  She was born November 26, 1919 in Byhalia to the late Harry and Anna (DeBolt) Ruhl.

On July 25, 1942 she married James H. Foos and he died November 4, 2005.

Dora was a member of the Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher, and was attending Richwood First United Methodist Church.  She had spent 30 winters in Florida with her husband James where they enjoyed playing golf.  She hit her only hole-in-one exactly 25 years ago.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was a 4-H adviser and mothers club member.

She is survived by 2 sons, Samuel J. (Janice) Foos, Marysville; Daniel L. (Darlene) Foos, Galion; 1 daughter, Joan S. (Rex) Sullinger, Ridgeway; 1 sister Helen Borland, Richwood; 3 grandchildren, Bill Foos, Richwood, Jennifer (Matt) Furer, Marysville; Holli (Luke) Underwood, Ridgeway; 4 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating.  Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Wednesday.
