I was saddened to hear of the loss of your father, my uncle.  Fond memories of our family times together, epecially his fishing lessons for all the children at the last big family reunion.  (It may have been Monica's first fish and she developed quite a fondness for fishing.)

My name is Scott Jerew and would like to send my condolences to the family of John Lewis.  I was sorry to hear of your loss, but wanted to tell you that he was a great educator to me on the history of Richwood.  I was the former owner of G&H Threads in town and Johnny would stop everyday and we would talk about the good old days.  He would bring in boxes of old news papers and his scrap books and we would laugh about the changes.  He would bring in a new item that I hadn’t see in my life time and tell me about the history of it.  He would bring in all the old pictures and let me make copies of them, and if I had something he didn’t have I would share that with him.  That did not happen very often that I would have something he didn’t have.  I hope someone in the family takes over the love that Johnny had for Richwood and keeps telling the stories to the future generations like myself

God Bless
Scott Jerew
