 Richard LeRoy Taylor, age 72, died Thursday July 3, 2008 at 11:30 AM at the home of his daughter in Marion, Ohio.
He was born March 7, 1936 in Prospect, Ohio to the late John and Elizabeth (Boyer) Taylor. He married Wanda Mason and she survives in Marion. Also surviving are two sons; James L. (Teresa) Taylor of Marion and Gregory L. (Meg) Taylor of Tallahassee, Florida, three daughters; Carma Taylor, Shanna (Mike) Fridley, and Tonda Taylor all three of Marion. Ten Grandchildren; Daniel, Casey, Adam, Andrew, Christopher, Aaron, Alex, Preston, Meghan, and Dallas. One Brother; George (Shirley) Taylor and two sisters; Cathy (Dave) Bridges and Joanne House all of Marion. He was prededed in death by two brothers James and John Taylor and three sisters Betty McClintock, Marge Makeever and Eleanor Walker. Mr. Taylor was a conductor with ConRail. Veteran of the U S Army during the Korean War. Flew Model Airplanes with the Marion Airfoils. Enjoyed outings with his family. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect. Minister will be the Rev. Charles E. Sanders. Burial at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home in Prospect from 5 to 8 PM on Monday. Those who wish may make contributions to the Heartland Hospice of Marion.
