Kenneth “Kenny” Fuller
Kenneth “Kenny” FullerFlagKenneth “Kenny” Fuller, age 65, of Richwood, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday morning October 7, 2008 at Marion General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
It was just exactly three months ago today that Kenny's wife, Judy of 46 years went to be with her Lord after a battle with cancer.  It was definitely a day of rejoice and reunion when the two met again for eternity.

On June 2, 1943, Kenny was born in Vicey, Virginia, the son of the late Woodrow and Sarah (Deel) Fuller.  He obtained his diploma from the American School in Chicago, Illinois.

Kenny has always been a hard worker and loved working with the public.  Early in his life he worked for Weinlein Farms; farm work and milking cows were daily duties.  In January of 1962, he enlisted in the United States Army.  Seven months later he married the love of his life Judy L. Doyle.  After a long greyhound bus ride to Fort Sill, Oklahoma the bride-to-be met up with her future husband and began a long and glorious life together when they married on July 23, 1962.  Two weeks later, Kenny was shipped out to Germany; two years later he returned to live in the Marysville area with his new wife.

After working at Goodyear for a few years, Kenny began his love for working with the public when he opened Kenny's Restaurant in the 1970's.  After moving the restaurant to a different location in Marysville, Kenny and his family took a different path in the food business.  He and his wife, Judy created Kenny's Industrial Catering.  Here they met and served food to many business' in the Delaware and Marysville areas.  Health issues would move him and his family to the Richwood area during the 1990's; this is where the community could usually find him sitting alongside his wife while she ran Mrs. Reinison's Donuts and later the Richwood Donut Shop.  If not at the donut shop you could find him home at Fuller Farms, enjoying farm animals and country living.

It was during the blizzard of 1978, when another vehicle could not stop and hit Kenny head-on, that injuries and illnesses would start and continue to follow him through life.  After back surgery from the accident, he received a successful triple by-pass heart surgery in 1988.  A stoke, neuropathy diabetes, carotid artery surgery, stents, concussion, and pacemaker would follow during the next 15 years.

Kenny was a member of the Richwood Church of Christ.  Here he was baptized many years ago and served as a Deacon and server for the church.  He loved fishing, playing cards, and watching westerns.  His favorite time was spent loving his granddaughter Meghan.  Taking her fishing, watching her hold baby chicks, or playing a game of Old Maid always put an extra large smile on his face.  For the past five years Meghan has kept “Papaw” on his toes.

He will be extremely missed by his son, Eric (Maggie) of Richwood; six brothers, Elmer (Brenda) Fuller of Marysville; Richard (Carole) Fuller of Marysville; Frenchy (Ida) Fuller of Delaware; Doug (Connie) Fuller of Edison; Donald (Debbie) Fuller of Arkansas; Johnny Fuller of Columbus; three sisters, Fran (Ron) Rayburn of LaRue; Nancy Prater of Delaware; Jean (Jack) Taylor of Delaware; grandchildren, Shawn Teels of Marion; Mercie (Dean) Morgan of Marion; Nikki (Tom) Sutton of Galion; Alissa (David) McKeever of Galloway; along with many other family members.

His family will greet family and friends on Friday, October 10, 2008 from 5-8pm at Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, Ohio.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Richwood Church of Christ on Sivey Road at 2:00 pm with Pastor Matt Craig officiating.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the Richwood area veterans.

Memorial gifts may be made to the funeral home at PO Box 122 Richwood, Ohio 43344, to help the family with expenses.

Eric and Family - We're sending our thoughts and prayers to you at an attempt to comfort you. We dearly loved both your mom and dad...what a pair! Your dad and I were always discussing who he thought was having a "behavior" problem on that particular day...it was usually a politician or health care provider.  Your mom would just smile politely and say "OK Dad". Now they're having a blast together and building a great home for the rest of your family for when you meet again.
Love and prayers to you all...  Jennifer, Suzy and Summer

I share your grief, Eric. I lost my mother today, and while it's only half of what you've endured, it is painful.
I'll keep you and your family in my prayers, and hope you'll do the same for me.

Eric-
I was saddened to hear of your father's passing.  I fondly remember speaking to him on the phone many years ago when you were a student at MTC. I know that both of your parents were so proud of you.

I am sorry that I am unable to attend calling hours.  However, please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Jane

Dear Eric and Family,

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad.   It was some time after I left 4 -south that I learned about the dialysis .

Once again, the most heartfelt obituary I have ever read.   I wish I had known Kenny when he was in good health.  He was a sweetheart even when he was so ill.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers, Eric.

Sincerely,
Deb Michener
