My deepest sympathies goes out to the family and friends of Edmund Mallett.  I knew Ed for many years and have always known him as a very honorable man. His high standards of honesty, integrity and pride have been followed by many of Marion County's law enforcement professionals.  I salute you for your service to the United States of America and the Marion County community. Even though my badge will be covered with a black band during my time of moarning, I will wear it with the same pride as you did.

I was so sorry to hear of Ed's passing.  Some of my best childhood memories include visits with your family at the farm. You all always made us feel so welcome there.  I think our visits there inspired my love of wide opened spaces and woke me up to a world beyond the suburbs.

Ed was such a warm and friendly man and will be missed.  Please accept my deepest sympathies, and on behalf of the Don Chase family.

Love,
Rose Brown

Winnie and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss.  When I think of Ed I remember how much he had travelled.  It seems that no matter where I would mention my next vacation would take me, he had already been there!  He was always a joy to talk with. Take comfort in the good memories.  Beth
