Carroll Leland TempleGolf BagCarroll Leland Temple, age 69 of Byhalia died early Saturday morning March 27, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family
He was born September 22, 1940 in Kenton to the late Leland “Bill” and Donna Ruth (Sheares) Temple

Carroll was a 1958 graduate of the Byhalia-York High School class of 1958, member of the York Center United Methodist Church; in his early yrs. he was a dairy farmer, retired in 1997 from the former Green Camp B.F. Goodrich then Parker Hannifin plant after 43 yrs. of service where he had served as Safety Director and Union President and Vice President.

He had raced harness horses, enjoyed golfing, especially with his granddaughters and in golf leagues, he was proud of his “hole in one” at the Panther Woods Country Club in Ft. Pierce. Since 1997 he had been a “Snow bird” in Ft Pierce Florida.

On November 16, 1958 at the Bethel United Methodist Church he married Janice E. Hines and she died December 18, 1995

Surviving is son: Eric Temple of Byhalia, daughter: Cindy (Kevin) Cowgill and their daughters Samantha and Jessica of Marysville

Sister: Karen Elaine Landon of Byhalia, Brother: Wayne (Kathy) Temple of Mokena, Illinois and Special Friend: Eilene Gray Kale of Richwood, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 1, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, where friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 pm, Pastor Jim Wise will officiate, burial will follow in the Byhalia Cemetery

Memorial gifts may be made to the Union County Family Y.M.C. A at 1150 Charles Lane Marysville, Ohio 43030

I'll always remember the good times shared with Carroll on the porch down in Ft Pierce and how much he enjoyed all the Johnny Cash songs he would request me to sing for him there. He will be missed by all I am sure.

Dear Temple Family,
I want to say I am sorry for you loss....I knew your Mother Janis from Whirlpool and she was lovely as I saw she passed on my birthday which is Dec.18th as well.I met your Dad at a party years ago with your mother and  he was very nice and quite handsome....My Dad Larry Shirk worked with him for years at B.F.Goodrich and Dad always talked highly of him....May God Bless your family...
