So sorry to see the posting concerning the passing of Art. Art was a kind person and treated me very well growing up...

We all think parents will be there forever, but we learn they can not be... Steve, be glad all the time you two spent together as it was indeed "quality time".

I'm unable to be with you tomorrow to honor the life of Art. Art was a dedicated member of American Legion Post 368 and I was proud to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We were saddened to see that Art had passed away. Over the years, he was in our lives in various ways. I played softball when he managed a womens team. He also kept many of our family TV's going when finances were so you fixed them instead of replacing them. He was always doing something to help the youth of the community. He was a valuable member of the American Legion. Art was always there to represent them at functions and did it very capably.
Please accept our sympathy as you mourn his loss.

Uncle Art, my mother's litle brother, was always fun to be around. He once threw me in the air and missed catching me. He reminded me of the scar that gave me the last time I visited him. I wish I could have spent more time with him. He always called me by my nickname "Cissy." He also corrected the way I pronounced "Oswald" when I last saw him. A good man with a great family.

To Art's family and to Thora, let me express my sincere sympathy and prayers for God's comfort. I am so glad the twins and I were able to visit Art and pray him that day in August when I was in Prospect. I will always remember Art as my Boy Scout leader and as our TV repairman, but also as the twins' "rescuer." God bless you all.
