Lewis Martin “Louie” Kuba
Lewis Martin “Louie” KubaTractor Allis Chalmers BLewis Martin “Louie” Kuba, age 86 of Richwood, died Monday evening March 7, 2011 at Wintersong Village of Delaware.

He was born September 25, 1924 in East Liberty to the late Frederick William and Ida Sophie (Siefke) Kuba.  On May 10, 1947 he married the former Clarabelle Emmaline Ledley in LaRue and she died May 10, 1982.  He was also preceded in death by special friend, Sarah Louise Brown in July, 1999; a granddaughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Kuba in April, 2004; brothers and sisters, Charles, Ferdinand, Rudolph, Rinhold, Margaret Kuba Iezman, Frederick, Willis, George, Robert, Ruth, Edward, Harold and Daniel.

Louie worked on the family farm before he worked at the Pillsbury Plant in Martel, retiring after many years.  He loved animals and being outdoors and enjoyed picking up pop cans to recycle.  Louie loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are sons, William M. (Brenda) Kuba of Delaware; and Donald L. Kuba of Bellefontaine; former daughter-in-law, Cindy Grose, Delaware; 5 grandchildren, Kelly (Kurt) Sellers, Holly (Matt) Whitaker, Kenny (Susan) Kuba, Corey (Holly) Kuba and Brandy (Josh) Penuel; 8 great grandchildren, Logan Sellers, Clay and Adelyn Whitaker, Julia Kuba, Lauren Kuba, Jason, Cheyenne and Lilly Penuel; sisters, Lucille M Witt of Richwood, Irene Comer of Marysville, Laurabelle Marrs of Logan; a brother, Earl (Georgeanna) Kuba of Marion; a brother-in-law, Dale Ledley, New Hampshire, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Steve Whitaker officiating.  Burial will follow in Thompson Twp. (Shoup) Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.

Sorry to hear of Louie's passing, although we did not know  his family he was a fine friend.  He used to drop donuts off for us on his way home from work and our kids loved them. Our sincere sympahty to all.  Ray and Arlene James, Prospect, Ohio

I am so sorry for your loss and loved him dearly.  He was always so sweet to me and was so good to the kids.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family Don, Bill, Brenda, Cindy and all of our kids.

He was such a good man.

Please accept our sincere condolences regarding the passing of Uncle Louie....We will miss his gentle smile and big hand shake....I personally will remember the conversations we had regarding mowing grass and riding mowers(tractors)....I have been told that I like to eat and perhaps this is true. But, I will always remember Uncle Louie's plate just as full as mine at family reuions...I think we both liked home cooking...Jerry

Dear Bill and Don,                               I received a call today from Ronnie to tell me about your dad. I am very saddened to hear that he passed away.
