Patricia J. “Pat” Garlinghouse
Patricia J. “Pat” GarlinghousePatricia J. “Pat” Garlinghouse, age 74 of Richwood, died Thursday evening, December 1, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born March 4, 1937 in Essex to the late Velden and Hazel (Jenkins) Allinder.

On February 15, 1974 she married Donald L. Garlinghouse, and he died January 19, 1998.    She was also preceded in death by two sons, Kevin Eugene and Christopher Lynn Beckley, and a brother.

She was retired from Memorial Hospital of Union County after 30 years of working in surgery scheduling and other departments.  After retirement, she worked another 10 years at London Avenue Physicians in Marysville.  A 1955 graduate of Richwood High School, where she was the Homecoming Queen.  She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marysville.  Pat loved her grandchildren and family, spending as much time with them as possible.  She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends and was considered by all who knew her to be a “good person”.

She is survived by two sons, Curt (Jackie) Beckley, Richwood; Tim (Pam) Garlinghouse, Ostrander; two daughters, Terri (Clairen) Oldham, LaRue; Tammi Fannan, Mt. Sterling; a brother, Everett Allinder, Vero Beach, Florida; two sisters, Nancy Pacha, Delaware; Eva (Gene) Klaiber, Richwood; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.  Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.

Memorial gifts may be made to Loving Care Hospice, P. O. Box 613, Marysville, OH  43040.

Im just finding out today(tues 12/6) I just want to say I worked with Pat years ago in surgery and she was the greatest!!! Dr Stover called her our Rose. Im sure she is in a better  place now. I wish your family comfort in this time. God Bless You all.

I am so so sorry!  I just found out about your mother.  She was always like a mother to me too, lots of advice and listening.  I spent alot of time with her over the years and enjoyed talking to her.  I know that she will be happy to be back with her husband and her boys.  She spoke of all of you often.  I am here for you guys for anything you need.  Let me know how I can help.
