Vivian Boyd
Vivian BoydSlot MachineVivian Boyd, age 70 of Richwood died Friday, October 5, 2012 at Union County Memorial Hospital.  She was born November 21, 1941 in Delaware to the late Lee and Babe Ruth (Eaggleston) Mullins.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lee Mullins and two sisters, Barbara Rhoads and Jeanie Johnson.

On June 16, 1961 she married Norman Joe Boyd in Pottersburg and he survives in Richwood.

A 1960 graduate of Northwestern High School, she worked as a security guard for 14 years at Accrux, retiring almost a year ago.  Vivian enjoyed bowling when she was younger.  In her later years, the things she and her husband enjoyed doing were fishing and playing slot machines.  Most importantly, family was at the center of Vivian’s life.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Vivian Ruth Parks, Texas; Valerie Lynn (Fred) Parker, Cleveland, Tennessee; a son, Norman Joe (Tami) Boyd Jr., Richwood; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Elder Abraham Kenner Sr. officiating.  Friends may call two hours prior to the service, beginning at 5:00 PM.  Burial will take place at a later date in Price Cemetery.
