My dad was the strongest man I ever knew.. Looking back I can remember times I thought how can this man be so mean... now that I am a parent I know he wasn't being mean he was being the best father he knew how.  I loved my dad with all my heart and I am glad he treated me and my sister like his own.  I got to talk to my dad a few hours before he passed and he aked me to unhook him I said dad you are all unhooked from all machines you are the one keeping you here on earth... he said thank you and I asked him to tell my father and granparents and every loved one of ours who has passed that I missed them dearly and he said I will.  Later that dad he looked at me and said I see dad.. I said you  mean Grandpa Mills he said your dad.  My heart swelled and I knew he was ready to go to heaven.  I am at peace with his passing because I know he is in heaven.  I promised to be strong for my mom and brothers and I will do that.  I love you dad and mom continue to be strong.

Gary was one of the sweetest men I have ever known. He was always cheerful even when you would think a person shouldn't be.Gary and Bonnie always had a open door policy in there home and in there hearts. We were neighbors for about 2 years and became nothing less then my adopted grandparents. They became and still are more of grandparents to me then my own blood. My favorite memories is me and Gary sitting outside on the porch together looking at the stars and him teaching me the bible and "Planting the seed" he called it. I loved listening to his stories.Or waking up and having coffee on a cool summer morning before he would go to church or help some one out. Gary will truly be missed in the hearts of many and in mine. Grandma I Love you and my heart just breaks for you. He will all ways be with you.

I am saddened to have to say good-bye to a special family friend.  Gary was quiet, with such a vibrant smile and caring personality.  He has his mother's smile; and his father's quiet strength.  I loved them dearly.....and the "Mills Boys" will always be near and dear to my heart!  God bless you all as you journey on.  My deepest sympathies to all.  From Dave and Nancy Lashey

Dear Mills Family -
Please know that I am keeping your family close in heart, thought, and prayer in the loss of your beloved husband, dad, and grandfather.  I met Gary on a couple of occasions and found him to be a very pleasant man.  I fondly remember having Bobbie, Ron, and Dolan in my classroom at North Union.  May God's comfort and peace be yours during this challenging time and in the days and weeks to come.  Prayerfully,  Cheryl Cooley

Bonnie And Family,  It's  hard  to  understand  why angel came  and took Gary's  hand and gave him a tug... We never got to tell him we loved him before he disappeared into the sky so blue, We never got to tell Gary goodbye before he got his wings and learned to fly; All these things we wish we did whether by choice or fate we was too late...   When the Lord calls our loved once home, He leaves A gift of memories in exchange.  It takes a little darkness for us to see the stars, and A whole lifetime to reach them. But find comfort in knowing you all were A special part of such A beloved life. May happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time...  We are here if you want to talk.   Love Bill and Cynthianna
