Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I was so sorry to hear about Guy. He and Claudette were great friends and neighbors of my Dad. I thank God for the two of you when it came to my Dad. I know we all thought alot of Guy and the many kind things he did for everyone. Sorry to hear of your loss. I truly enjoyed Guy coming into Heritage, he was such a wonderful man. He will be missed. God bless you all.

Dear Claudette,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family in the passing of Guy. Perhaps the following will be of some help in the days to come.

Once upon a time a young dragonfly was born in the bottom of the pond (he was called a larva then.) He had a pretty good life in the murky waters of the pond; there was enough to eat, and many friends to swim and frolic with. As he grew he and the other youngsters noticed that sooner or later the elder members of their species would become so buoyant that they could no longer remain deep in the water. Then they would float up and up until they finally disappeared from sight, to be seen no more. The young dragonfly asked one of the elders about this strange happening and was told, “Yes, this happens to all of us, we call it dying!”

Time went by and sure enough, one day the dragonfly larvae began to float upwards in the water. He was so afraid; he did not want to disappear forever! As he reached the top of the water, he had just enough energy left to climb up on a stem of one of the water plants. He was clinging for dear life, when a strange thing happened; he began to tingle, and to grow warm from a big light in the sky. The warmer he got, the stronger he felt. Then miracle of miracles, he noticed he was in a brand new warm world; the colors were glorious. He had turned into a beautiful blue-green jewel himself, and most wonderful, he had wings and he could FLY !! Ohhhhh, the beauty, the comfort, the pleasure of it all! He wished he could go back and tell all of the other dragonfly larvae that they had nothing to fear – but of course he couldn’t do that now that he was a creature of the air not the water. But he couldn’t help thinking that no one would mind “dying” if they knew what a bright and beautiful new life they would be coming to!

Gary so sorry you lost your father. My dad is still with us but lost mom in December 2011. It is a sad time.
