Raymond Gene Clady
Raymond Gene CladyFord 5000Raymond Gene Clady age 85 of Richwood, died late Saturday evening at the Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville.

He was born October 24, 1927 in Plymouth to the late Elza and Catherine (Penhorwood) Clady.  He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Berlin Forrider.

Gene had attended the Fulton Creek Friends Church for most of his life. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force during WW II. Gene was a hard working and dedicated farmer. He also had worked as a school bus driver for the North Union Schools and drove fertilizer truck for NaChurs in Marion. But the center of his life was his loving family.

On September 1, 1946 at the Thompson Chapel he married the former Ruth E. (Taylor) and she survives.  Also surviving are their children, Bob (Donna) Clady of Richwood; and Regina (Wayne) Evans of North Canton; grandchildren, Holli (Eric) Musser; Heather (Eric) Couch; Diane (John) Chiriac; Jason Evans; Jarrod (Danielle) Evans; and Denise (Garret) Price; and four Great Grandchildren, Emily and Colton Musser and Tyson and Tidus Chiriac.  Four brothers,  Dallas (Grace) Forrider of Richwood; Ron (Joyce) Forrider of Salem; Gerald (Linda) Forrider of Richwood; and Keith (Vicki) Forrider of Radnor.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Fulton Creek Friends Church with Dr. Wayne Evans and Pastor Dennis Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery where there will be veteran graveside services conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the church.

I find myself thinking of Gene often and what a good person he was. Whether driving our bus or helping out at the school during some of the kids festivals at Magnetic Springs was a good example of what a great guy he was and has left me with many fond memories! Bless you all!
