WE still cannot believe this news is true because we don't want to believe it, I guess.  WE think of Cecil as a true follower of the Lord in every way, and his family and friends will miss him much; however, he has left the legacy of godliness, truth, and perseverance for his family.  We will meet him again in Glory, for sure!

Words cannot even begin to express the sadness my family feels about Cecil’s passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and just know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I will always remember when my son Frankie first described what a wonderful family Cindy (now his wife and Cecil’s daughter) has. Frankie said: “Mom, you will love them”. He was so right. I met Mary Jane and Cecil and just loved them. They are both truly a part of my family. Cecil will never be forgotten.

This is a “Quote” that means so much to me and I send it to you with all my love and support:

"I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death.  They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.  Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.  We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love".   Author: Leo Buscaglia

I grieve the loss of an awesome man of God and dear friend and next-door neighbor, about a mile down the road from us. It's hard to believe of his passing, but we can rejoice that he is now fellowshipping with Jesus and my brother. Cecil is included amongst the great cloud of witnesses along with my brother, Hans. Hebrews 12:1 When I was younger, I made up this nickname for Cecil for whatever reason and called him, "The Champion". As I got older, I rethought that process and was like, "Champion of What?" Then it dawned on me, "Champion for Christ!" He did seem to be a champion at his work, and seemed to be quite knowledgeable in his tasks for other people here and beyond overseas, so the nickname kind of fit Cecil quite well, actually, both spiritually and physically. Now, it most definitely fits all that much more, for Cecil is truly + definitely a champion now as he has finished his work the Lord has called him to do and has surpassed from this life into gloryland, and now is fellowshipping and serving his Saviour, Jesus Christ face to face. God's got Cecil safely in His arms. We shall not cry anymore, for we shall one day meet and see our beloved ones again. However, the waiting process seems forever, for Cecil's smile, friendliness and faithful witness will be greatly and truly missed by all who loved and knew him. He greatly served well on this earth. My sympathetic thoughts, prayers, empathy and concerns are ever with Mary Jane, Cindy, Nick, Kyle and the extended family at this present time and always. May the Lord give you comfort and peace and be near to you all in this great time of loss. You will be greatly missed, beloved neighbor-friend and 'Champion', Cecil! If a man be found faithful, you're definately one of them! May your family be blessed with His ever-loving care during this difficult time and always! :( <3
