I was greatly saddened to hear of the death of Aunt Nadine.  In some ways she was like a second Mom to me and my sisters.  I spent many a happy weekents that often stretched into a week, with the Van Winkles.  Indeed the Van Winkle experience was always a highlight in my life. She fed me and also patched me up after various misadventures with Rick.  As an active volunteer at our library in Waynesboro, I always appreciated her avocation of things literary and libraries in particular.  She was a grand lady and a truly fine person.  The world is a much colder place without her.  Think and speak of her often.

To the Van Winkle Family - Nadine was such a beautiful, friendly lady.  I remember her well when she worked at the library, and I remember your father building custom kitchen cabinets in my parents home (Bob and Janis Davis in Magnetic Springs).  I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope you find comfort when you look back on all those good memories of when you were all together throughout the years.  Kindest regards, Tonya Davis Payne
