Terry L. Schurch
Terry L. SchurchCrossTerry L. Schurch, 63 of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Richwood, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Madison County Hospital in London.  He was born June 24, 1951 in Kenton to Glenn E. and Dorothy (Ehret) Schurch.  His mother survives in Marion.

Early in his life he felt God's hand upon him and was led into the Baptist ministry.  He began in evangelism teaching children the gospel through Kid's Crusades for Christ with Gospel Magic. He continued his ministry in Huber Heights, Ohio where he started a Christian School.  From there he transitioned into mission work and traveled to Switzerland to plant a church abroad.  No matter where Terry Schurch has been led, one thing remained the same; he had a heart for people and their eternal security.  He was the type of person who never knew a stranger.  Terry was the type of person who would share his life story with you if he had never seen you before in his life.  He would always say that death is not the end; it's the beginning.

He is survived by a daughter, Terrah (Kevin) Lovett, Grove City; a son, Jakob Schurch, Dublin; a brother, Michael Schurch, Marion; a sister, Cindy (Eddie) Rasey, Richwood; his former wife and mother of their children, Diana Schurch, Dublin; and a sister-in-law, Linda Schurch, Columbus.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Rev. Randall Wood officiating.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.  Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.

Memorial gifts may be given to the family to help with final expenses, C/O Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, P. O. Box 122, Richwood, OH 43344

To Dorothy, Terrah, Jakob, Mike and Cindy,

We send you our sincere condolences on your loss.  Terry's father and my mother were first cousins.  We have many fond memories of family reunions held on the Schurch farm, often officiated by Terry.  The family history he researched and assembled is a priceless gift to all Schurch descendents.  May the Lord of all comfort you at this sad time.
