Erma “Jane” Ellinwood Wheeler RattermanBowlingErma “Jane” Ellinwood Wheeler Ratterman 86 of Marion, died peacefully Saturday afternoon June 27, 2015 at the Arbors at Delaware.

She was born March 15, 1929 in Marion to the late Truman George and Helen (Douglass) Reed Ellinwood, she was also predeceased by two husbands: Dennie H. Wheeler and Andrew Ratterman, siblings: David Reed, Marie Reed Kingsley, Frank Reed, Charlotte Reed Wilson and Ronald Ellinwood

Surviving are her children: Ernest (Louise) Wheeler of Pigeon Forge, Tn. and Karen (Fred) Kellogg of Caledonia
Six grandchildren, several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren
Siblings: Truman (Barb) Ellinwood, Rebecca (David) Doss and Kenneth (Ethel) Ellinwood all of Marion
Many nieces, nephews and cousins
Long Time companion and friend, Robert Cline Sr. of Marion

She had worked at two bowling alleys over the years, Richwood Lanes and Plaza Lanes; she then retired from Meijer in Marion, where she worked for many yrs.

Jane was a very talented bowler; she was involved in many leagues and received numerous awards, such as bowling in Smittys All Star League, member of the Professional Women’s Bowling Assn, Union County Bowling Assn. and the Marion County Bowling Hall of Fame. She had once won a car on T.V.  All Star Bowling.

Jane also enjoyed golfing at the Green Acres Golf Course, former member of the Richwood VFW Aux., member of the Marion Moose #448, Marion Area Genealogy Soc. and the Marion County Senior Citizens. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Ave. Church of Christ.

There will be no services at this time; burial will be in the Claibourne Cemetery.  A memorial service will take place in the near future.

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is helping the family with arrangements.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Marion County Senior Center at 2375 Harding Hwy E. Marion, OH 43302, the Marion Moose at 374 N. Main St. Marion, OH 43302 and the Marion Genealogy Soc. at 445 East Church Street Marion, OH 43302
