I had the honor of a little over a year ago meeting Phyllis at the Gables with my Destination Imagination group honoring veterans.  She won my heart and the kids our first visit.  She shared stories of knowing and growing up with my grandma Foos on her days when we were their and she was feeling a bit under the weather Iw old sit and visit with her a little longer.  The kids liked taking her special gifts since she was the only lady veteran and they liked having her sharing her stories of being in the hospital in Florida when the guys returned.  I know from visit to visit her mind could no longer remember us but that's ok because they will always remember her and what she shared and I will remember the stories of my grandma she shared with me.  She was a dear dear soul and I hope she gets to catch up with Dora Mae and so many others as she gets to go home.  Our deepest love and sympathy to your family, Jennifer Foos-Furer and North Union Destination Imagination Operation Military Blankets Team

Dear Greg, Linda, and Family,
Our deepest sympathy to you all as you mourn the loss of your precious mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was one of our heroes....working as a nurse in the Army during W.W. II.  It took a special kind of woman to do what she did.  She will never be forgotten for her service to our country.   Phyllis was a lovely woman, and we enjoyed visiting with her when she came for visits to Carmen & Christopher's.  Wish we could have seen her more often.  She was also a  gracious hostess when Keith and I stayed with her while attending a  wedding there.  Know you will treasure your memories!  God give you His comfort and peace, knowing that you will see your mom/grandma again some day in Heaven.  With our love!
