Very sorry for your loss. Mr. Tuttle was my drivers ed teacher and I have very fond memories of him as my teacher and often recount some of those times over the years. My prayers are with this family.

Mr. Tuttle was a wonderful teacher in all aspects. His passion for nature, the study of biology, and his knowledge of antiques and cultural artifacts was as infectious as his colorful stories and memories. Thank you sir for sharing your knowledge and stories

I taught with Bob for many years and enjoyed working with him. I do remember that whenever it began snowing heavily during the day at school, he would tease the kids with the possibility of an early release. And they always fell for it. He was certainly missed when he retired. My condolences to Bob's family.

I'm so sorry to here of Tuttle's passing , I've know him almost all my life ,, he was fishing buddies with my dad Dave Johnson. He and my dad had many good times together.. Fish fries will never be the same. Peace , love and many blessings

I was a student in the later 70s - he was an awesome teacher - strict and structured when needed and a great sense of humor - I have many great memories as a student and then as an adult memories of the fish fry's and dances at Prospect - my condolences to his family - he will be missed

My husband and I both had Mr. Tuttle for a teacher. He was my science teacher and my husbands drivers ed teacher. We both liked him as a teacher and especially remember his great sense of humor. He will be missed by hundreds of students that he taught.

I am a graduate of the class of 1962 and Mr. Tuttle was one of our teachers. He was very well respected, had a bit of a dry sense of humor and I enjoyed his classes. I was so sorry to hear of Bob's death. He was one of the first teachers that I met when I started at North Union in 1983. Oh what a wicked sense of humor he had! I will always remember the twinkle in his eyes when he had a "Gotcha" moment at someone's expense-often mine. He will be missed.

Bob Tuttle was well-established as a teacher when I came upon the scene (at NUHS). However, I will never forget the kindness he expressed to me (rookie). He gave me advice that I took to heart (and used for many years in my own classroom). He was an excellent teacher and well-liked by his students (he made sure they learned something). Bob was a character....who possessed a sense of humor that, at times, was a bit off-center. I will also always remember when I found the perfect gift for my sister ---- located on the front porch of his home in Richwood (King Tut's Antiques). Science became one of my favorite subjects as a result of his biology class. I still remember (and apply) a lot of random pieces of wisdom that he shared in biology class and also as a driving instructor.
He was one of the great teachers and quite a character.

"Tut" came to teach in Richwood three years before me and I shared many wonderful times with him as a fellow teacher, on the golf course, playing basketball or poker on snow days, fishing in Canada and at fish frys. It was not mentioned in his obituary, but Bob started the new sport of cross country at Richwood H.S. and baseball at North Union H.S. after consolidation. He was a respected co-worker who was always ready to help wherever needed, such as scouting for football and helping at track meets, especially the Richwood Relays. He was a good teacher and a good friend who was very proud of his brothers. He will be missed.

Mr. Tuttle was my Driver's Ed teacher and taught me how to parallel park with ease..(my husband was amazed)
He also taught the most exciting Biology class ..

Mr. Tuttle was a great teacher with a great sense of humor. I liked being in his Science class during my school years, and later, digging through records with my wife and daughters at King Tut's. You will be missed, Mr. Tuttle. But don't worry...those of us that went through your class will pass on the knowledge of 'how to catch a polar bear'.

Mr. Tuttle is the reason we enjoy birding. Four of our children had to do a birding project for Biology. We helped them complete it, then continued to expand our enjoyment. Birding has lead us to Nova Scotia, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Europe, and all over the United States. Thank you Mr. Tuttle!

Mr.Tuttle was my high school biology teacher and he was one of the main reasons I went into teaching. He always encouraged me to do my very best. I have many fond memories of him and his teaching. He had a great sense of humor and went above and beyond to help everyone! He will be missed.

I have many fond memories of "Tuttle". My Grandmother Janice Davis was a friend of his, they both enjoyed antiques. I last saw him a year ago Christmas, my husband and I purchased a few antiques from him at the Delaware antique mall.It was great to see him. He will be missed. God Bless.

Dear Mike and rest of family:

Having know Bob pretty much of my life from fishing at the dam in Prospect to living down the street from me I can tell you I knew and liked very much Jane and Roger too. I am in the business of doing ncome taxes for the public and had alot of contact with them in that.

Bob was very devoted to being one of the first "green" people I know and loved the out of doors and loved to fish and our little lake in town.

To say he had a strange sense of humor is an under stateent but he was always in the mix of thingsd.

I extendf my sympathy to all of you and know he is enjoying time with his Mom and Roger now.

I met Bob at Essentials, where he held court, generally with a newspaper in hand. To my mind, it was a version of the old boys, sitting around the General Store stove, perched on chairs and pickle barrels, and solving the problems of the day. It didn't take long to see that under the curmudgeony exterior was a very sweet soul. Not that he'd want you to let on. He was "Crankshaft" of the cartoon fame, and both always made me smile. Devoted to the Hoffman family, part of the Hoffman family, his wit, intelligence, and kindness will be missed. I'm pretty sure that he now has a front seat at the auction, nodding and bidding, and getting fabulous deals on the best that heaven has to offer. Which would be pretty darned good. Miss you Tut!

I am so sorry to read of Mr. Tuttle's passing. I have fond memories of summer driver's ed with him. I never knew just how brave he was until it was time to teach my own children how to drive. That experience gave me a whole new respect for him.
He made going to school for 2 months during the summer of "77" much more fun by having class at Richwood Lake. Again it wasn't until I had my own children that I realized what an influence he had on me. Teaching them like he taught us with the hands-on approach. Please know how much he was respected and will always be remembered.

Mr. Tuttle will be remembered..education was so important to him and he wanted you to get it...a Biology teacher,Drivers Ed teacher , and an open door to talk. Years after my school days at NU he still remembered my name and we would share some goofy stunts I pulled learning to drive...funny, I made sure my daughter did not do the goofy driving no no's Mr. Tuttle pointed out...yes, I remember Mr. Tuttle and the man he was to me!
