MY WIFES'S BIG LITTLE BROTHER

As Chuck's youngest sister we enjoyed many advenures and life storis together! He was always there for me whenever I needed to just talk or when I needed help.

When Chuck was in Viet Nam I wrote him every day and sent him cookies, Jiffy Pop popcorn, and white soccks for his blistered feet. I prayed for his safe return every day. When he returned to the Columbus Airport he called me to come and pick him up. He was our Hero!!!!!! Chuck never talked about Viet Nam untill later in life when he and Wilma (the love of his life) started visiting with his helicopter crew and buddies.

While growing up Chuck had a wonderfull gift with animals, his horse Patsy and dog Queen were his pride and joy and they would do anything for him.

When it came to my children and grandchildren Chuck always cared about them, their struggles and success"s!

For many years Chuck was President of the Oberdier Reunion and really built up attendance and enjoyment. The "white elephant auction" was a favorite enjoyment of his and his family. His family meant so much to him... each and every one of them! Now can you imagine Chuck as an auctioneer for the white elephant sale.Well he was actually quite good at it and unsuspecting relatives often bought things without raising their hands!

Chuck's illness and passing brought many tears to our household as it did to his many friends. But the good memories eventually rolled away the tears! I was blessed to be called Chuck's sister and I know God will be proud to be called Father by Chuck! God Bless he and his family.. With a love that will never end, Chuck we love you!

Evelyn and Dale Benedict and families.

Chuck had a special place in his heart for children and horses. We are very thankful to have had him in our lives. We cannot thank Chuck enough for all the help he gave to our children, the horses and so many others at the Richwood Fair. His smile always brought comfort, reassurance and happiness. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. We pray all those around him heal from his loss and can celebrate his life.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Gabbie always talked about her grandpa when visiting my house. I knew long before he became ill that this man meant so much to her. She respected him and all his teachings. After he became ill, her bottom lip would quiver as she said "Grandpa" It breaks my heart that she feels such sadness. I'm happy fo all of you that you had this wonderful man in your lives and that his spirit and memory will always be with you.
