Ray Clark |
  Ray Clark, 85 of LaRue, died peacefully Friday January 29, 2021 at his home.
He was born September 19, 1935 in LaRue to the late Clifford and Rosa Mae (Van Sickle) Clark. He was the last surviving sibling in his family, being predeceased by David, Willis, John, Gary and Walter Clark, Kathryn Cole, Ethel Miller, Margaret Gallant and Fern Redmon.
Ray was a graduate of the LaRue High School, he then graduated from Ashland University, becoming a Registered Nurse. Ray served our country in the United States Army as a nurse.
He then worked for 29 years at the Smith Clinic/Med Center Hospital in Marion in purchasing.
Ray had been a member of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in LaRue and after it closed attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews and extended family, including Linda (Bob) LeMay and Frances Kirk, who looked after Ray.
Graveside services will be held Friday February 5, 2021at 11:00 am at the LaRue Cemetery, Father Jeffrey Tigyer will officiate. There will be Military Honors conducted Marion Area United Veterans Council.
The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home is assisting the family.

I just saw that Ray died. My condolences to the family. Ray hired me as a supply tech way back 1994 at MedCenter. I was going through a divorce and needed a good job. I came to the job through Adia temporary services. Ray liked my job performance and hired me away from Adia…. Thank you Ray!. ! I forget when he retired, but was sad to see him leave. He was always fair and honest with the team and highly respected. I wish we could have seen more of him after he retired, but not to be. I was hoping he would have been at my retirement party in 2019, but he probably didn’t get the word. Rest In Peace, Ray…you were a good man.

Ray is such a sweet, kind, and generous man. He always put a smile on my face. I remember him as a little girl when he lived right next door to my grandmother. I had the pleasure of caring for him and my deepest condolences go out to all of the family! Prayers and Hugs sent to all.

I'll always miss my Uncle Gene. A great man from a family of great people. To be able to talk about the events he had experienced and perservered through and being able to share so many good memories with him is something I will always cherish. Say hello to Grandpa and Uncle Will for me Uncle Gene. I can't wait till I can catch up with all you guys. R.I.P.
