Carolyn Eileen Mosher Standridge
Carolyn Eileen Mosher StandridgeCatsCarolyn Eileen Mosher Standridge, 85, formerly of Richwood, died March 13, 2021 at her home in Whittier, California.

She was born June 12, 1935 in Claibourne to Gerald and Eileen (Deeds) Mosher. She graduated from Richwood High School in 1953 where she was the Homecoming Queen.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Standridge and Ronald Dildine. She was a former member of the Rush Creek (Essex) United Methodist Church.

She was an employee of the Richwood Bank before moving to California where she was employed by the Bank of America for 28 years before retirement.

She and her husband Ray belonged to the Mecca Duck Club where she was a crack shot and held her own while fishing as well, winning several bass tournaments. She was an avid reader and loved all Hallmark movies.

Surviving are her brother, Garry (Janet) Mosher, and sister, Vonnie (Don) Wasserbeck, both of Richwood; nieces, Teresa (Robbie) McElroy and Michelle (Mike) Vassar; nephews, Gwynn Mosher and Michael (Lorraine) Clagett; four great-nieces, Many great-great-nephews and nieces. She also had three of the best caregivers who took exceptional care of her: Alicia Sesma, Jasmin Mosqueda and Anna Guerrera and her best buddy, Tom the cat; very special friends Jim and Donna Baker, Marsha Warye, Charlotte Slick, Sally Van Horn and Barbara Tims.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Tuesday April 6, 2021 from 5-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood.

Private burial will take place in the Price Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Union County Humane Society at 16540 County Home Road

Vonnie, So sorry to read of Carolyn's passing she was a faithful and long time supporter of the RHS-NU alumni so she never forgot her hometown. She always wrote a really nice note with it.

Vonnie, Gary and families. So sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing.
Memories of her go back to the Essex Methodist Church and our little town of Essex.
I know there are sad moments right now,but the sweet memories will remain. Love and Prayers for all of you.
