Mary Jane Drake
Mary Jane DrakeCookingMary Jane Drake, 102 of Marion, died Tuesday October 25, 2022 at the Marion General Hospital.

She was born August 26, 1920 in Hardin County to the late Charles Frederick and Bernice (Born) Olliver, she was also preceded in death by her husband Roland E. Drake, they were married January 24, 1942 and he died September 21, 1982. She was also predeceased by her son, Gary Drake, infant daughter, Janice Drake, son-in-law, Tom Crampton, siblings, John and Wilbur Oliver, Edna Osborne, Nellie Coutu and Genevieve Rohr.

Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking, cooking and crocheting. She also had a sweet tooth, enjoying ice cream and anything sweet.

Mary had been a member of the former Hepburn United Methodist Church and had attended the New Bloomington United Methodist Church.

Surviving is her daughter, Pat Crampton of Delaware, daughter-in-law, Barb Drake of Marion, grandchildren, Scot (Katana McCoy) Crampton, Mark (Sara) Crampton, Joe Drake, Michelle (Ed) Mackey, Steven (Crystal) Wakely, Nikki (Dale) Globe and Mike Wakely, Great Grandchildren, Jaxson, Karleigh and Ripley Crampton, Traci (Aaron) Oldaker, Stevie Wakely, C.J. (Lisa) Dennis, Masyn Bradley and Ostyn Poe
Nieces, nephews and extended family

Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 2, 2022 at 12 noon at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Pastor Michael Stough will officiate. Burial will follow in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 11 am at the funeral home in LaRue.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Michelle your a special Niece too me .
I'm so sorry for your loss . I know how well you loves your Grandma. She lived a long life. I'm sure she shared many memories of her growing up years with you to carry on in your heart of her. Hugs to you .

I remember Mrs. Drake as a very nice lady. I have good memories of her family. I do believe she was a woman of faith. I hope that faith will comfort you now.
