Nina Joanne Myers
Nina Joanne MyersQuiltingNina Joanne Myers, 98 of Galion, formerly of Richwood, died Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 22, 1925 in Gore, Ohio to the late Charles Arthur and Lola Josephine (Pumffery) Larue. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn William Myers whom she married on June 7, 1946 in Somerset, and he died December 21, 2011; three brothers, Chuck Thompson, Elmer Hite, Albert Hite; and daughters-in-law, Paulanna K. Myers and Brenda Myers; and a granddaughter, Angelina Lynn Arndt.

Joanne enjoyed sewing and quilting, sending her handiwork all over the world, especially to Germany and Austria. She had over 200 pen pals she kept in touch with her whole life since the third grade. She enjoyed watching cardinals. Her passion was The Ohio State Buckeyes and she was an avid fan her whole life. She was also a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Indians.

She is survived by five sons, Charles Frederick Myers, Galion; Marvin Glenn Myers, Galion; Darold William Myers, Bucyrus; James Albert (Gwendolyn) Myers, Piqua; Randy Allen (Michelle) Myers, Delaware; twin daughters, Cynthianna K. Gingery, Galion; Deborah Fay (Larry) Treisch, Millersburg; twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023 at 12:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Donnie Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM.

Memorial gifts may be made to the family to help with final expenses.

Sorry for your loss. I know Aunt Joanne was doing her best to make it to 100 and she almost made it. Aunt Joanne was always happy to see us kids when we would come to family reunions(yearly) now she is up in peace with all the others. I know it is hard but know your mom is in a wonderful place and that she loved all her family with her whole heart and soul.❤️🙏

 I am going to miss my Aunt Joann a lot.  I love her with all of my heart.  I enjoyed taking to her and hearing her stores.
