JOHN J. SHIRK JR. Shirk Jr., 68, of rural Richwood died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at his home.
He had worked as a janitor at the former Medcenter Hospital in Marion. He also sold Prudential Insurance and had an Omar then a Vickies Bakery routes. He was a past member of the Eagle Lodge in Kenton. He enjoyed spending time at home listening to the radio and .vatching sports on television. He was also an avid gardener.

He was born December 19, 1969 in Marion to Robert and Nyoka (Chafin) Sly, they survive in Marion.
Rodney had worked as a baker, enjoyed tinkering with things and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan.
He was loved and would do anything for anyone.

After separation from Army he farmed in Union and Marion Counties. He was a member of Shiloh Community Church where he held many offices for many years.
He married Iva Irene (Baker) Wasserbeck on March 6, 1948. They were married over sixty six years.
