He was born March 21, 1942 in Marion to the late EuGene and Evelyn (Harper) Lauer.
Stan was the salutatorian for the Prospect High School class of 1960. He was proud to still be working at the age of 81 at Hercules Industries in Prospect as their Director of Engineering.
