Velma Althea Ward James ed Methodist Church, where she was the oldest living member. After graduating from Prospect High School, she worked at the Scioto Ordinance plant during World War II. Following that, she worked at Dale’s Restaurant and Lauer’s Grocery. Her last thirty years of work were at the Prospect Bank, then National City Bank. After retirement, she was busy working on projects for the Prospect Senior Citizens, which she really enjoyed.

Former Prospect resident Kathryn L. Levering, 84, died Saturday Aug 17, 1991 at the Morning View Care Center of Marion.
She was born June 21, 1907, to John M. and Effie (Lauer) Isler.
A member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect, she worked as a cashier at the former Harding Hotel and as a matron at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville. A graduate of Prospect High School, she also was a member of the Women of the Moose, Marion. more... |

Bettylou McFarlan Robert O. McFarlan at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Marion, they were married 48 years until his death on April 17, 1999.
Bettylou started her working career at the Standard Oil in Bryan. She had also worked at the former Lauer Insurance in Prospect, and eventually retiring from the Buckeye Valley Schools as the Secretary to the Superintendent.

He was born Nov. 2. 1912, in Marion County to the late Earl and Laura
Miley Stiffler and was predeceased by a sister, Goldie Wood; and a brother,
Arthur Stiffler. He married Caroline Lauer June 26. 1936, and she died April
9, 1993.
He is survived by a son. Robert (Sharon) Stiffler of Marion: a granddaughter,
Angela (Hal) Chase; a great-granddaughter Aubree: a step-great-grandson.
