I. Mounts American Legion Post 368.
He was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Claibourne Township to the late Hamilton
and Jennie Phelps Newman.
He married Geraldine M. "Gerry" Landon Feb. 6, 1954, in Prospect and

George Lafayette Wood Sr. of his life. He also worked at the Huber Shop in Marion; he was a pilot; an inventor, holding current patents; manufacturer of farm equipment, founding Wood's Carriers, Inc. and had owned the Ohio Edison Power Plant at Newman's.
