John R. Mead was working until the time of his death.
John was a talented handy man who was willing and able to fix about anything. He was a hard worker and ran his own business on the side, Mead Contracting, which many people in the area depended on. He never knew a stranger and anyone who knew him considered him their friend. He enjoyed furniture making and in his younger days, fishing, hunting, trap shooting and playing softball.
