Carter Hicks s born Sept. 17, 1917, in Richwood in the home she currently lived in to the late Herbert C. and Eva Jane Moore Carter and was predeceased by four brothers, Donald, George, Robert and Roy Carter; and a sister, Dorothy Carter-Robinson. She married Bert Garland Hicks in October of 1942 and he died April 26, 1991.
