| Sara J. Shields ed peacefully early Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 9, 1936 in Richwood to the late Sturgis and Gladys (Flesher) Cheney. On December 28, 1958, she married Thomas H. Shields at the First United Methodist Church in Richwood and he preceded her in death April 18, 2016. She was also predeceased by a brother, John Cheney and a sister, Carolyn Cheney.

She died at 10:22 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 1990, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 10, 1913, in LaRue to Benton E. and Mildred D. (Thomasson) Denman. Her mother survives in LaRue. On June 16, 1934, she married John S. "Tim" Shirea who died Feb. 16, 1988.

| W. Ray Sine in the U. S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Baccarat Post 40. Ray had worked at Goodyear, and was well known as the parts guy for several area dealerships, including Vernon Thomas in Richwood, Trenor Motors and Brandeberry Chrysler, both in Urbana. He retired from NAPA, where he worked in outside sales. Following retirement, he worked at Urbana Country Club for twelve years.

The former Meeker resident died at East Lawn Manor at 6:10 a.m. Sunday. She had been ill four years.
