He was born August 23, 1938 in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Horace M. and Mildred (Blount) Thomas.

He was the owner of the Vern Thomas Chevrolet dealership in Richwood for 21 years, from 1952 to 1973. He was born April 5,1928 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania to the late William Aaron and Katherine (Kanoza) Wilson. He was also preceded in death by a son, Tommy on Feb. 6, 2012 and three brothers, Bill, Ray, and Jack.

He was born July 19, 1942 in Lawrence County, Kentucky to the late Wayne and Flora (Baldwin) Wooten. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Spaulding.
